ROADTRIP TO BARCELONA, SPAIN

Hi Everyone,

Just a day before we decided to go Barcelona. We rented a car and started our journey around 1.30 in  afternoon. Barcelona is around 600km from Bilbao, so we decided to stay one night at Zaragoza which is in middle of Bilbao and Barcelona and is 300km from Bilbao. We reached Zaragoza around 4pm so we decided to go Barcelona. On our way to Barcelona from Zaragoza we booked hotel Holiday Inn for our stay but later we came to know that the one which we booked is 30km away from Barcelona, so we went to Holiday Inn in Barcelona where there were no rooms. Then we started searching hotels online and offline, but some were out of budget and some don’t have rooms available.

I and Ravi (my husband) were walking on the road and saw one hostel, so we went there and ask the manager for four beds. Fingers crossed till he check register. After a while he told us that he has four beds. We were very happy, finally got place to stay. But its not over yet then we asked manager about car parking and he told that they don’t have car parking. We got place to stay but our car didn’t. Ravi and Bhaumik (friend) went out in search of car parking and came back around 1pm. Then we sleep for few hours woke up, get ready and had yummy breakfast in hostel.  Well it was nice experience in hostel Bon moustache.

We visited Arc de Triomf,  similar to gateway of India. Click some pictures. Then we visited to one of the famous shopping streets in Barcelona and shop a lot. We then had our lunch at Govinda Indian restaurant. After that we move toward our car parking as we have to checkin in another hotel. We rest there for some time and went to beach.

Came back to hotel room and get ready to go out again. We then had some mock-tails. I tried Pinacolda which was awesome. We had dinner at some local pizza chain which was good. Next day morning we went to Camp Nou, Barcelona’s football stadium and started our way back to Bilbao. Few tips for you guys:

  • Stay in a hostel at least for a day.
  • Visit shopping street near Place De Catalunya.
  • Don’t forget to visit beach.
  • Visit football stadium if you are FCB fan.

This is how we spent our time in Barcelona! 🙂 🙂 Please leave your comment and suggestions below.
